easy no hassle account

Overall, very good customer service with hardly any app issues or online banking issues. In branch, the advisers have always been lovely too with a willingness to help.

I've been with Barclays ever since I was 16 so I've had my first account with them for close to 14 years. I've since opened several savings accounts, and I've never had any issues. Their fraud department always makes sure it's me on the other end when doing a slightly different transaction than normal. I especially love their text alerts for this. I don't think they're 100% perfect. Of course there are days when I get technical errors when trying to access their app, but I believe they were the first ones to ever come up with the app and pin sentry, a move than Nationwide has also done. Good On line site, competitive mortgage

Originally mortgaged with the Woolwich, now Barclays. When term expired they simply extended it for 6 -7 years at same rate (0.75% above base). Reviewed on: 27th April 2020

Worst bank in the World

The worst bank in the world!! Please do yourselves a favour and stay well away!! Closed our account without any prior warning and took our funds without any reason!! Even banks in third world countries treat their customers better then this rubbish of a bank!! Do not bank with Barclays!! Take your business elsewhere!! Reviewed on: 24th April 2020

Coronavirus

Coronavirus Help... I'm Discussed......!!! I have multiple accounts. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and I've never missed a payment, Nationwide my mortgage provider contacted me weeks ago offering a payment break due to the Coronavirus. I am self-employed and have been ordered by the Government to close the doors and stop trading for possibly three weeks, like thousands of others have to!!! Not my choice. So I called Barclays this morning explaining my situation and asked for a payment break from my loan, only to be told they have NOTHING in place and can't help me through these troubled times absolute joke Barclays thanks so much for your help. Our Government are doing an amazing job and trying to assist the entire country financially through these troubled times and Barclays can't even help there own loyal customers..!!!! Barclays close accounts unfairly

Had a savings account with Barclays for over 5 years. They made in dormant and despite going into Branch with ID to proveI owned the account and the Branch manager verifying this with me I was advised it could take up to 12 weeks to reopen. This prevents me from moving my money into another higher interest earning account which is obviously all just a scam to keep your money and stop you reinvesting it. Absolutely disgusting behaviour for a bank. No other bank takes 12 weeks to do this. I am appalled!!!! Reviewed on: 5th March 2020
