Unable to see what I type

Communicating was weird. I could not see what I was typing, and could only see what I had typed by “lifting” the keyboard after pressing return. Amazingly I didn’t make any typos, which says more for my typing skills than the user friendliness of the chat app. Reviewed on: 1st August 2023

Exceptional personal service, but...

The customer service offered by BBS is exceptionally good, I had to contact them about a number of different issues and each time received quick, competent and personal service. Until recently their children's ISA had the best rate in the country. However, the interest rates offered are now quite a bit lower than the leading market rates, the children's ISA is still okay, the other savings products are much too low. (I would have moved on months ago had it not been for the good service) Reviewed on: 21st July 2023

stingy building society

The interest rate they give on trust account are very stingy. The Bath Building Society must take public as fools. The interest rates they should be offering should be between 4% and 5%. Does this building society not see what other banks and building society ate offering. do they not see news. Shame on them. Reviewed on: 14th July 2023

If you look at all of our interest rates you will see that we pay rates that are typically all above average and up to 6.95% and will be increasing further on 7.29%. Trust Accounts are very different to normal savings accounts and are much more complex to administer and this is reflected in the rate we offer. Most other Banks and Building Societies have withdrawn completely from offering these accounts and at least one bank actually charges customers who want top open this type account. We have decided to continue offering these accounts but will continue to review the rates that we offer. If you can find someone that is prepared to pay you a better rate, perhaps you can share the details with us. Colin McDougall, Chief Commercial Officer. Response date: 16th July 2023
