By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Amazing. Brilliant customer service. Cheap insurance. Saved £££.

The plug-in tracker device is very easy to fit in the car. It comes with instructions and there are also instructions on the app. The app is very easy to navigate and keep track of usage and costs. You can access policy documents and previous invoices on the app and online. You can track where you have been and how much it has cost. You can even enter a search for a future journey to see how much it would cost so you can budget You can make three changes a year without a fee. I have only had to contact customer service once; nothing wrong, I had a question. They answered within minutes and were very polite and answered immediately. Payments are taken on time so you know exactly what to expect and in fact receive an email a few days before to warn you. The daily usage is capped at 150 miles so when I go to Scotland every year to see family I get a number of miles free which is a bonus. For low mileage drivers it is the best on the market. I recommend By Miles to everyone and cannot praise them enough! They should receive first prize in the insurance awards. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reviewed on: 5th August 2020

Only been with the company a few months and luckily haven’t had to make a claim so I can’t comment on the most important aspect of car insurance, but generally the idea of paying for miles travelled is good. Best Insurance company I have ever used.

I was unsure about joining, as I didn't fully understand how it would work, but it was an easy process to insert the unit and everything has run exceptionally well ever since. WOW just wow our second year with by miles and the savings we made last year was unbelievable had our renewal and gone down from last year instead of the normal going up with other companies easy to contact helpful customer service and online chat is always prompt the tracker is easy to install and every journey is recorded and you know how many miles and cost for each journey love this company Reviewed on: 4th August 2020
