By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

For a long time, I've resented being charged for services I do not require, my premiums being based on other people's lifestyles, not mine.so I am delighted to have come across By Miles. By Miles policy charges reflecting miles driven seems to me fair and transparent. Many companies SAY us that their top priority is looking after their customers': By Miles actually DOES it. I had never heard of by miles before, until it came up on a comparison site, It was so quick an easy to set up and i received my mileage counter within a few days. I loved the fact that I can keep track of my journeys and all the other info I can access on my phone. I get regular updates by e.mail which I like as I'm very forgetful. lol I didnt hesitate to renew with with by miles again recently as I got a mileage discount which I've never had before so was a no brainer. Great insurance for the occasional driver!

Wish I had known about this before, fabulous idea, fantastic service, simple and totally clear.

I struggled to get manageable insurance due to bad credit. Was paying 70+. monthly to drive to work 14 miles away. With by miles, I pay for the miles, have the safety of a tracker and if so don't drive I don't pay. And still have all the benefits of a good insurance policy. Reviewed on: 31st July 2020
