By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Fantastic insurance and worth considering

My first year with By Miles and I must say they are fantastic! I would highly recommend. I was a bit unsure whether or not to go with this provider to begin with as having children means I do A LOT of driving to and from places throughout the week and even more on weekends! This meant that I was so nervous about how much I would have to pay each month. However, my statements every month are considerably low and very affordable. The app is a great way of checking how much you are spending on a daily basis and updates after every drive, I love this! This way you can keep on track of your spends and either take it easy on the driving, for example driving only when necessary, or in my case, drive without worrying how much it is going to cost. I am very pleased with ByMiles and I personally think it is a brilliant idea only paying for the miles you use. It can certainly save people a lot of money on insurance! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Pay for the miles you drive, no more!

Since lockdown I haven’t been driving to the office anymore and in general a lot less than I normally would. Sold by the idea due to circumstance I now believe this is the best and fairest way to pay for car insurance.
