By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Simple, pain-free, logical and cost-effective: nothing to dislike!

From the first tentative steps the information provided has been clear concise and easy to digest. The whole process has been far easier than renewing previous insurance. I love the app, the ability to see my vehicle use (it's encouraging me to think about my carbon footprint for shorter journeys) and knowing that the decision to continue to work from home can now be quantified as well as voiced from a qualitative perspective. I've recommended ByMiles to my family, particularly my parents and elderly relatives who still value their independence but don't drive so far these days. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Number 1 insurance

Honestly this has been the perfect insurance for me, this car is somthing i love to drive occasionally and have another car for work and travel. Bymiles has allowed me to pay a 1 year full insurance so i dont have to worry about it and can drive as much or as little a month only paying for what i drive, the customer service is quick and answer my question all through the app anytime. Because you have a device in your car, you can see your previous journeys also, the app is amazing at planning journeys. Apart from it being super cheap our insurance has dropped by half the price we paid the previous year. It's great !! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

great overall. However, more work is needed to be done re: road maps and their calculation algorithms. most of the times charges do not reflect actual drive, and tend to be always on the rise not the opposite. also, most of the congestion zone notifications are wrong. but overall a good and speedy customer service, will definitely recommend to anyone who is using his vehicle occasionally.
