By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I was one of By Miles' first customers, and I was impressed from day one by their commitment to customer service. Since then, they've steered me happily through one no-fault attempted claim against me by a driver who opened a door and took off my wing mirror. They've been hugely helpful to friends I've recommended. And my year three renewal notice turns out to be a whopping 25% lower than last year's. By Miles has been a super simple way to save money when our car is just sitting on the drive - which was particularly handy during the various lockdowns! Knowing that we are saving money and are able to keep track of our spending is such a refreshing way of insuring the car, the app is also great, being able to track the car and look at monthly and 'per trip' spend.
