By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

The best for low mileage drivers

My brother introduced me and I subsequently introduced my daughter. I paid an initial £200 based on under 2,500 miles & 4p per mile which £100 in introductory covers. My renewal quote from previous insurer was £450. No contest. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

Car Insurance as it should be

Paying for your car insurance by the distance you cover, is as it should be. I always knew it would be cheaper, but it's been even more effective with Covid. However, one of my new favourite benefit of ByMiles is that the App can track where you go and therefore notify you if you go into the Congestion Charge zone. This has saved me from a couple of fines recently when firstly I went into the zone without realising and again on a second occasion when I knowingly went in, but on a weekend. I had not realised that the congestion charge zone was now enforceable on a weekend. So the notifications to notify me that I had gone into the zone were brilliant. I am not aware of any other insurer or App that does this? Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

Pay as you go. What is not to like?

Pay as you go. What’s not to like? I like the fact that I am only paying insurance on the number of miles I’m doing. I have benefited from this over lockdown as I barely drove my car. Other insurance companies were giving some kind of rebate but by miles have the social situations built-in and that you only pay for what you use. By miles of been very supportive with lots of emails with tips and even playlists. I am impressed with their service and have recommended them to several of my friends. Well done bymiles.
