By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Ideal for me as you pay for what you use..... I only use my car 7 months of the year _ I work abroad, so a "pay as you use'" product is perfect. Also I have phoned for advice on a couple of occasions and have been helped immediately ( not a long list of numbers to press/options to choose from) and by a knowledgeable person. Best deal for lower mileage drivers

I was about to renew my motor insurance when I read an article on how standard car insurance policies are loaded in favour of higher mileage drivers. As someone who drives a lower than average mileage this made me look around for a better deal and By Miles, with their low annual charge and fee per mile stood out as the best deal. The perfect choice.

Not only were By Miles my cheapest option of car insurance, the customer service in signing up was great, and the app allows me to budget and keep track of my bills by updating the second I turn off the ignition. During lockdown, as my driving decreased, my monthly bills became tiny as well! It was amazing to recieve such small bills for using my car so much less. It's the best of both worlds really because the limit on the maximum chargeable per day means I'm still never worried about going on a long road trip. A few months in I also upgraded to a nicer car, and updated this easily through the app: thereafter I recieved a refund from my initial cost and a lower price per mile. Need I say more? Of course I have recomended this to my family and friends, truly believe this is the future of insurance. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

Great for low mileage users

Great service, the app tells you exactly what your spending each time you drive. Wouldn’t recommend for cars doing high mileage but perfect for 2nd vehicle/weekend car or just people who don’t drive much. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020
