Good Account, With Excellent Add-ons

The Chase current account provides most of the features wanted from an app only current account. The 1% cashback on debit card spending is the main attraction to the account and the linked 5% round-up saver is also compelling for using this account for day to day spending needs. Chase is Ace

Very easy to use. When a payment is made, an acknowledgement appears straightaway on my phone. I get 1% cash back up to &15 per month which I get back on the anniversary of getting the account. No charges when using the card abroad. Reviewed on: 2nd March 2025

My favourite bank: clean UI, budgeting & interest

Easily my favourite bank out of the ones I have tried. I originally switched for the extremely clean UI. The app was just a lot faster and cleaner, using has always been easy and satisfying (though pls give us a dark mode). They make it really easy to bucket/portion the money by adding secondary accounts that sit on a second page. So budgeting thinks, such as one for food costs, one for holiday savings, one for a guilt-free allowance etc is super easy and very clear. They've always had either the best, or currently the most competitive interest rates on their accounts from what I've seen. They also do some nice extras, like cashback or boosted interested sometimes which is really nice to see. Of all my almost 2 decades with Lloyds beforehand, I never saw any nice bonuses like that! Chase also have other little fun features that help you save little bits, for example a 'round-up' pot which, say you spend 34.13£ on groceries, it'd round to 35£ and add that 87 pence to a special savings pot that has a boosted interest rate. It's of course a small amount, but it add up and if just a nice way to encourage you to save. The biggest downsides about Chase for my use is that we still don't have the option to get a credit card! Chase makes everyday banking so straightforward

Chase is so easy to use and keeps me updated on my account with automatic notifications. It even warns when I will next have to enter my pin instead of tapping. Reviewed on: 2nd March 2025
