Out of my 6 years of driving I will never ever be go...

Out of my 6 years of driving I will never ever be going back to Churchill let me run this down for you started with the company from July were now in November I've rang up 5 times over the last 4 months for them to tell me they have a IT problem and they will ring me back never heard nothing back decided to ring back for the last time In this November for them to tell me there's a defect with my insurance. After already taking a payment off me they then tell me they need to cancel my insurance start a new one and take another payment again in the same month with no refund after all I wanted was my no claims discount protecting adding on which I already added on from the start then once the insurance started they decided it wasn't protected after 4 months of IT issues they tell me oh we can now add protected no claims that they also confirmed I put it on in the first place to also say sorry for the amount of times ive called and no call back for them to turn around and say yes we can add it but need to cancel and take another payment with just a sorry. That's my last time using this company and stay away never had a issue with anyone else apart from these shocking Reviewed on: 21st November 2024

Reliable but could do with better customer service

We were with Churchill for a few years, with regards to our Car Insurance. They are a reliable company, but when it came to renew, we were always initially quoted a lot higher price. After contacting them and querying their quote, they found us a much better quote, (usually about £150 cheaper) within about 5 minutes. When contacting them by telephone, we were always waiting for approx 10 minutes, for our call to be answered. Reviewed on: 22nd September 2018

No help when car written off

6 months no car

Paid for insurance for 6 months without a car even though the accident wasn't my fault. No courtesy car, no communication as to investigation, just took my money and refused to freeze the insurance. Reviewed on: 21st July 2018

More Money Please...

I have been with them for two years now and am nothing but annoyed with the company. When I moved house I contact Churchill to change my policy (having looked up whether or not my postcode would mean an increase in price... it didn't). They put my policy up by £40, while also charging me £20 for 'Admin fees'. I asked for a break down of those fees because it doesn't cost that much to mail a few sheets of paper and enter a different postcode into a database and couldn't get a straight answer. I don't feel like they value their customers and being a young person struggling to afford the insurance anyway that could have gone a long way in my loyalty to the company. Very helpful insurers

Over the years I've found Churchill very helpful and approachable. I have rung them a couple of times with general admin questions and they've always been lovely and happy to help. They are also good value for money. All in all a very good company. Reviewed on: 17th July 2018

Renewal of my Car Insurance

Churchill are the first company in the last 20 years where I have renewed my car insurance, as their renewal premium had not gone up from last year. It is nice that they try to keep existing customers by not putting up the premiums by unreasonable amounts. Reviewed on: 17th July 2018
