I'm autistic and dyslexic

I'm autistic and dyslexic and still… I'm autistic and dyslexic and still work full-time and been with coop many years. My tenancy was up 2 weeks ago and the council found me a flat to move into so I spent all my money moving and that includes all my overdraft so I have no money until I'm paid in a week .I called the coop bank to tell them I've 1 pound in electric left and no food in until I'm paid Friday can I have 50 pounds to get electric and abit of food until Friday! They said no and said that I should go to a food bank and they may get me some electric somehow but they weren't sure.i put the phone down ! I'm sitting here hungry and 1.25 left In my emergency electric .coop bank I hate you and how you treat disabled people in a time of need .50 pounds for electric and food until I'm paid but you prefer me to die Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Long wait times on phone with no alternative

I've been a coop bank customer for 14 years - their call centre wait times are longer than ever and they offer no other contact channel. I had a payment declined as they suspected fraud - fair enough, but I cant get it approved as the wait times are ridicoulous and there are no other cahnnels. poor customer service Reviewed on: 1st March 2022

Just dreadful banking service

Wait times on the phone of over 30 minutes to speak to customer service, for bank that claims to be "putting customers first", doesn't quite ring true does it? I've had a terrible time with them blocking large transactions (3 times in the last 6 months) for no apparent reason, causing me embarrassment when paying for goods and then having to wait the 30 minutes plus to speak to someone. I will be closing & transferring my account as soon as possible. Avoid. Reviewed on: 4th February 2022
