I'm autistic and dyslexic

I'm autistic and dyslexic and still… I'm autistic and dyslexic and still work full-time and been with coop many years. My tenancy was up 2 weeks ago and the council found me a flat to move into so I spent all my money moving and that includes all my overdraft so I have no money until I'm paid in a week .I called the coop bank to tell them I've 1 pound in electric left and no food in until I'm paid Friday can I have 50 pounds to get electric and abit of food until Friday! They said no and said that I should go to a food bank and they may get me some electric somehow but they weren't sure.i put the phone down ! I'm sitting here hungry and 1.25 left In my emergency electric .coop bank I hate you and how you treat disabled people in a time of need .50 pounds for electric and food until I'm paid but you prefer me to die Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Never experienced anything quite like it

I think they have 2 members of staff total. Its even worse that the shop with its mouldy veg. Have not been able to access the site once and can't ever get through on the phone. The chat is also always 'unavailable'. Also in branch they dont have any machines and one person on counter so always a queue. May as well have given my money to a homeless man to look after, would have been more reliable. Reviewed on: 30th October 2016

I was bankrupt and they helped

I went bankrupt. That makes it almost impossible to get a bank account. The Co-op were prepared to listen and make an assessment based on a newly secured job when no one else would. May 2008 was good and bad! Reviewed on: 27th June 2016

A couple of years ago the bank contacted me to say they'd spotted fraudulent activity on my current account to the tune of £500. Although I check my account daily, they had spotted the transaction, contacted me and refunded the money to me before I even noticed. Considering the problems people have had with other banks, full marks to the Co-operative for this one. Reviewed on: 18th February 2016
