Great building society for first time buyers!!

We were first time buyers and got our mortgage the DBS and they sent everything across and all communication was clear and really helpful to us as first time buyers. Plus the product fee wasn’t as ridiculous as some of those bigger banks! Reviewed on: 7th April 2025

Out of the ordinary mortgages & customer service

We went with Darlington because they were recommended by our broker for providing 'out of the ordinary' mortgages - which suited us! We had our very first mortgage with Darlington.

We had our very first mortgage with Darlington. And the best rate available at the time. Everything was so easy to fill out with plenty of support when I needed it. Darlington was amazing they talked me all the way through from beginning to end. My mortgage is up for renewal February next next year and I’m hoping to stay with Darlington. Amazing staff very helpfull nothing is to much trouble, if I didn’t understand anything all I had to do was pick up the phone, or send and email.
