I wanted to get home insurance today for my contents inside my flat the gentleman over the phone gave me great quotes and was polite and very friendly with me over the phone. I wanted my home and belongings insured in case of fire flood or some other disaster. Ive been told as well by direct line that i can be insured while im away from home such as a mugging happened to me i would be insured for that all at £18.30 a month which i thought was brilliant price. Im now happy that ive got home insurance after seeing the glenfell tower block fire in london today it really made me think i need to be insured. Anything can happen and it is deverstating when it does. I was mugged few years back i wish i was insured by direct line then.

worse than bad, just awful

trying to sort out a claim to be told they are trying to contact the assessor, to finally be told 8 weeks later that we not covered under any aspect of the what can only be described as miss-sold insurance. so we are left with huge hold in the ceiling, damage to the curtains, carpet and side unit and various other items after the water from the storm damage caused unprecedented amounts of water and the roof gave in....

in reality the insurance isn't worth the paper its written on and when you need it most, your not covered, you may as well save yourself the premium every year...and have none...the final cost to you is still the same but at least you can put the premium towards the repair costs.

Terrible company won't even provide any quotes. I have had no issues with other insurance companies and have previously been with direct line as well. When I called up to ask why, they couldn't specify a reason just that I didn't meet their underwriters criteria. I asked them what the criteria was and he told me to look it up online!!!! Crap service, crap policilies and never requesting anything from these people again!

Staff like it when they take your money promise you call backs but never keep their promise. Promised that after the first year my insurance would drop as long as didn't make any claims so did my lady drive carefully got my 2 years no claims as they promised to double it after my first year with them to then get a renewal letter saying they where going to double my premium! Liars scammers and fakes AVOID AT ALM COSTS AND THANK ME LATER
