Going the extra mile to get the best quotation

Thoroughly unsatisfactory.

I made a claim in February when the neighbour's builders caused a leak and movement in the party wall. There is no one point of contact as I was passed between departments. They did promptly send out a surveyor who agreed the cause. The loss adjuster then said it was not covered because it was the neighbours, something you would have thought covered. I had to go through legal cover which meant practically training as a lawyer. I asked for the report and estimate and was refused it which I needed to start the legal path. I spent many hours on this and gave up the will to live. I should have made an official complaint and also gone down the legal route but it is a full time job. I do not recommend them. The individuals I dealt with were very nice and understanding but a horrible experience. I am looking to change insurers. Traditionally the insurer contacts the neighbour's insurer and it is all taken care of. Reviewed on: 9th October 2024

Excellent experience over many years

I have had a policy with Discount Insurance for many years. The renewal process is efficient. When I have had questions regarding the insurance renewal, the questions have been answered clearly.
