Review of the Ecology Building Society, Savings:

The obvious choice

The week that the Ecology Building Society opened, I visited Companies House in London to verify their credentials and have had an account with them ever since. They provide a unique service, in that their are so few ethical financial establishments in which to invest which don't invest in arms or contribute inadvertently to the manufacture of nuclear weapons, by investing in the nuclear industry. The EBS are the only choice for many who wish to buy or improve properties which would simply not be considered by other building societies. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021

Responsible, reliable, ethical, long-term financial planning is at the heart of EBS policy

Since EBS began in the 1980s, I've enjoy reading the Newsletter showing imaginative,eco-friendly new build and renovation housing projects that we, as members, enable. After the financial crash of 2009, the Society put in place extra safety mechanisms to ensure that members would never face the collapse of EBS. As a saver, it is the best mutual provider I can find in these difficult times of low interest rates. Lastly, I value the perfect customer care that is quietly and professionally given. Ecological to the core

I love that Ecology use my savings to supply finance for redevelopment of properties and ecological house builds as opposed to just supporting mass house building which can be destructive to the environment. Reviewed on: 11th March 2021

The most easily understood & practical form of investment I have experienced

Unlike other banks and building societies, the E.B.S. provided simple to understand procedures for investors, the chance to speak to both patient & informed staff at their office and stamped addressed envelopes for posting back completed forms Reviewed on: 11th March 2021

Always helpful

I have been a member of the Ecology almost since it started in the early 1980s and I'm never disappointed with the quality of the service that I get, all irrespective of the fact that the society does so much good for the world. Positive, friendly and efficient customer service with the full knowledge that your investment is being used to make the world a better place. What more could you want from your savings? Proper good people

I've saved with ecology for years. All dealings have been friendly professional and made simple by staff. Phone and speak to a proper person. Save and know your money is used ethically. Brilliant. Love to get the magazine too and learn about their lending. Reviewed on: 11th March 2021

First Class Service and Values
