eSure Travel Insurance is appalling - Avoid

I have used eSure for many years and they offer a great service. They subcontract the Travel Insurance to another company and they offer a dreadful service. In March 2022, I had to make a huge number of telephone calls and make numerous emails in order to have my claim a) acknowledged b) responded to c) and finally get paid. I'm now planning to move my Car / Home and Travel insurance to another company Reviewed on: 30th June 2022

I would not recomend

I noticed when I got the travel policy documents through that it had the wrong dates. i tried to contact them straight away to find they were closed so waited until next day. Tried to phone them to be told the queue time is verry long and it would be quicker to chat online. As I was working I opted for this option so the earliest chance I got I contacted via Chat and waited 30 minutes to connect. I was then told I have to phone up as they can not do that over the chat. I then said well I will cancel policy then to then be told that also needs me to phone up. So they need to tell me when can I phone up that will give me the time as they open at 9:00AM and shut at 5:00pm. Based on this experience I do not trust them if I ever need to claim now so I will cancel and go with some one else - one more willing to help Reviewed on: 4th June 2025

Don't buy this travel insurance, avoid this company.

Avoid Avoid Avoid...I had a heart attack during my holiday which has been insured by this company, they responded via email with a claim form of CSL which I sent 2 months ago. This company does not communicate and doesn't care about your health, they are interested only in money spent to buy travel insurance. I found them via go-compare which absolutely jokes to be between the first five insurers / must have paid it / definitely I go to small claim court. Reviewed on: 16th November 2022

THANK GOD FOR TRAVEL INSURANCE

I went on holiday to Tunisia for holiday at the sae time as the terrible tragedy of the terror attack on tunisan beaches, I luckily was not in the area at the time of the attack however I did still have an accident in tunisa and if it wasn't for my travel insurance with this company I would have been paying a hell of a lot of money for my accident! luckily I was insured with this company and the hospital in tunisa fixed me up over their :-) Reviewed on: 12th November 2015

Convenient but costly

I have only used Esure once for travel insurance. I picked them at the time as they gave the full coverage I needed for a jam-packed trip to Australia. They had a number of different options to pick from, and as I would be doing some dangerous activities (skydiving anyone?), I decided they could offer me the most. The customer service team was friendly and knowledgeable, and processed my purchase quickly. The one downside I had was the expense. Having since been on a number of similar holidays, I now have the time to shop around and have found a number of cheaper alternatives that seem to offer a similar range of add-ons. Thankfully I never had to claim on the insurance, so I cannot comment on that. Reviewed on: 28th August 2015
