It is very rare that your call is not answered immediately. After a very simple identity check, they are able to answer almost any question quickly and effectively - even when it is a query about something going back some time. It's the kind of simple and common sense approach to customer service you imagine every company should manage and yet very rarely do. Reviewed on: 9th December 2015

Excellent customer service

I get an answer within seconds whenever I call them, they are polite and easy to understand on the phone. As soon as they detect suspicious activity they contact quickly to check it. I find the online and App easy to work and very smooth running. I have been a customer for 18 years and have never had a problem. Reviewed on: 25th November 2015

Modern hi-tech no frills banking service

I have been with first direct for about 7 years having had AWFUL experience with other high street banks. I do most of my banking on the really easy to use app but always love the customer service when I phone them. I have opted for a text message update every day so that I can isntantly see what my balance is, what debits have come out and (hopefully not though!) detect fraud. I am confident that if an error was made, first direct would do their upmost to sort it out. I am a very happy customer. Reviewed on: 24th November 2015

All of the customer service staff on the phones are exceptional and always help you without being overly corporate. The last time I spoke to them they helped me move away from an overdraft and into credit, and working with a bank account that works for both me and the bank! Reviewed on: 22nd November 2015

It's great getting through to a real person straightaway on the phone. First Direct have been great from second I switched to them, their customer service reps are very friendly and helpful. I haven't encountered a single problem with them yet. Reviewed on: 20th November 2015
