Disappointing mobile and online banking

Banks are banks, they do what they do, so the point of interaction with the customer makes all the difference. Unfortunately, first direct's mobile and online banking services are clumsy and outdated. Compared to banking apps I have used in the past, the functionality is limited and processes, especially around security, are not as user-friendly as they could be. I am considering switching. By far the best bank

Faultless in virtually every aspect and backed by HSBC (rather than a start up with a nice shiney mobile app but nothing to back this up when things go wrong (as they surely do at some point). Brilliant Banking

I have recently switched to First Direct from HSBC who I was with for over 13 years. I know HSBC and First Direct are part of the same banking group but what a breath of fresh air First Direct is. Easy online banking app and online services. The call centre are amazing, I have never waited more than 2 minutes to speak to an advisor. I would highly recommend taking the plunge and using First Direct for all your banking needs. Reviewed on: 10th January 2019
