Best thing I have ever done

I joined the Glasgow Credit Union over 25 years ago and have never looked back. I've used its services for Holidays, buying a car, fitting a new kitchen and have recommended it to umpteen people. The way I describe it to people is "you take a bank loan and at the end of payments you either use the monthly payment in general expenses or you take another loan and start all over again. With a Credit Union loan you save while you're making payments, giving you a lump sum at the end to either use or continue saving the loan payment amount. Meaning you might not need to take out another loan and/or also get you into the saving habit, helping you with your long term financial position. You can start saving with a small amount and increase it as and when you feel able to do so. And the good thing is if you do need to take another loan, you start from a positive position of already having a balance to work from and by the end of your second loan that balance will have increased.
