West country focused credit union that supports local communities. GWCU provide a simple set of savings and loans. They provide a lot of support to people and help with basic financial knowledge. It is very positive to feel that savings are going directly to people that need loans and could have ended up having to go loan sharks or using expensive credit cards. Reviewed on: 21st March 2026

Market leading 1Yr fixed rate bond plus ethical values

Their 1 year fixed rate bond is at a market leading rate and I feel really pleased with the ethics saving with a credit union - helping to make borrowing more affordable to people that otherwise would find they have to pay more for a loan. Reviewed on: 10th March 2026
