Rudest customer advisors, and bad company overall

My car broke down in the 3rd lane of the motorway so I rang them for help as a i have a policy with them. NONE of the customer advisors had any manners or any clue what was going on, had no sense of urgency or what. It was like they hasn’t been trained at all, just given a phone and told to answer it. Absolutely disgusting, wanting to cancel my policy ASAP. With them even putting the phone down on me whilst telling me to wait, as if they didn’t care. m I would go to another company if you want someone to actually help you when you’ve broken down. Don't bother.

Don't bother. I've bought breakdown cover for my trip abroad 3 days before departure. After money was paid I've received email that it will take 7-10 days before they can provide me with the policy documentation. Not only they cant send documentation by email and insist on post, but also the processing time is absolutely unacceptable. As you can imagine my policy arrived when in post when i was abroad already and trip was almost over. Now they refuse to refund for the policy and claim it was in place when the trip started. 0 stars would be too much. Case goes to Ombudsman for escalation as this is absolutely unacceptable. My elderly parents broke down near Gillingham in Kent yesterday. After initially getting help they then waited over six hours before someone could tow them away. Throughout this time they regularly contact Green Flag who assured them that help was nearby. They were in fact lied to. On one occasion they discovered that the help that was ‘nearby’ was in fact in Essex. The other side of the Thames crossing. Special mention needs to be made of Aaron the call centre manager who was either at best incompetent and at worst a bare faced liar. His colleague at the call centre who assured my parents that she would ring them back - she didn’t- is also a disgrace. To compound their misery, on finally getting home, they received a blunt message from Green Flag saying that the car had to be fixed immediately and if they are called out for the car again, they will be charged. I understand the system but the wording was abysmal. No customer service at all. A disgusting company with disgusting staff working for them. Reviewed on: 17th April 2024

Brilliant in their response to my break down.

I broke down last week and Green Flag were brilliant. From the guy on the phone initially to the 2 who pushed my car quite a distance to load it onto a trailer... I couldn't fault the service.... So polite, helpful and, importantly, caring. Made a potentially stressful event less stressful! Thankyou. Reviewed on: 13th March 2024

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I was Left for 6 hours at the side of the road with a disabled member of staff. Repeatedly given false information. Lost £14000 worth of work and had to cover £250 per day of staff wages for the four days that had to be cancelled because I wasn’t recovered. First person arrived after4 hours with no tools, took photos of the car and then left. Made no attempt to identify the problem. They contacted me 2 days later and offered me £50 compensation. Awkward app, useless when you really need them

Dog not allows in recovery vehicle

Friends broke down returning from a short break holiday in Somerset. IThey were informed that their small dog was not allowed to travel in vehicle as this was against company policy. They had to arrange for an alternative breakdown service to get them home. Please be aware of this policy if you have cover with this company and intend travelling with a pet.
