Review of the Halifax, Clarity credit card:

-7.5% for exchange rate

This card gives you free withdrawals aboard but at a stink exchange rate of 7.5%. If you do use if for a cash withdrawal pay it off straight away so you don't start paying interest. However it is good for paying for purchases etc as you get the interbank rate. Reviewed on: 6th June 2017

Great for spending abroad

Good for travel

I use this card all the time but particularly good when travelling overseas and paying on card, as there are no fees for this. Just a shame there are charges on withdrawals. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

The travel man go to!

Never had a problem. I took this card out when my current account was with Halifax. The main reason was for the free cash withdrawals abroad. This will have saved me hundreds over the years. I moved my current account away from Halifax but I still receive all of the same benefits with the card. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Holiday peace of mind

This card is so handy for travelling, always peace of mind that you'll get a good deal on currency exchange and withdrawing money which makes a big difference and means there isn't a worry about having repeated transactions Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Great customer service. Best bank yet!

When setting up the credit card, the staff were lovely. Kept to their time slots. Over the phone was even better, phoned to arrange direct debit from current account. Great When Travelling

Ive now used my clarity card several occasions when abroad and am converted! Far easier than trying to guess how much money I’m likely to use and being left with extra coins at the end of the holiday! Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Never leave home without it!

The Clarity Credit Card allows us to use it at home and abroad without extortionate charges. It's a shame that the monthly £5 bonus for a £300 spend is no more, but it's still a very competitive card, and great for travelling. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017
