Avoid Halifax!!

I have been a loyal customer of Halifax for many years, but my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. If you are unfortunate enough to encounter contactless fraud, do not expect them to help you, even if you have strong, objective evidence that it wasn't you. Their lack of proper investigation, poor customer service, and refusal to acknowledge the possibility of fraud is embarrassing for a bank. I urge anyone considering Halifax to think twice and avoid them at all costs. They sent my new credit card to my old address, sent letters to outdated email addresses which they shouldn't even store due to GDPR, and repeatedly addressed me by the wrong name. Using Halifax Clarity credit card aboard. No issues at all and easy to withdraw funds with no interest charges attached. Customer service is very good and efficient too, when I had to call them about a transaction. Reviewed on: 2nd June 2024

Decade of this card

Worst card I have ever had.

Worst card I have ever had. Only signed up so I could use abroad and not incur currency fees. First card only worked 50% of the time using contactless, tried to change pin both online and in branch and was told it’s temperamental .got. Second card and it was just as bad, didn’t work half the time so cannot risk using abroad so going back to Barclaycsrd Freedom which now offers same service and it 100% reliable Reviewed on: 21st April 2024
