Excellent

Can't beat its rates for spending abroad but watch expiry dates!

I got the Halifax Clarity Credit Card in order to benefit from its near-perfect rates for using abroad, but I hadn't used it for a long time. I took it to Ireland and had it declined in a shop because it had expired and Halifax had not reminded me or sent me a new one. Don't they want me to use it? Reviewed on: 5th December 2016

I got the Halifax Clarity credit card to use abroad some years ago, which is good because it avoids fees taking out cash etc abroad, but I don't go abroad that often and last time I did, I tried to use it and they hadn't sent me a new one after it had expired, or even warned me it was expiring, so I was stuck. Rate went down

Used to be good but now it's just OK, since they decreased the number of clubcard points per transaction so I am not getting as many points as before. Reviewed on: 1st December 2016

Was better before

The Clarity card was better when they paid you £5 per month to spend...but is still competitive re currency rates Reviewed on: 1st December 2016

Good for travel

The Halifax Clarity card is great for holidays because it doesn't have the usual fees and has the best exchange rates. Reviewed on: 30th November 2016

Cut rewards

It was amazing, when you got £5 per month if you spent £300...that was easy if you spent on normal household shopping and fuel. But they stopped that earlier this year, so it's now just okay - no exorbitant charges when shopping abroad. Reviewed on: 29th November 2016
