Good new customer mortgages, terrible for existing customer.

1
Never go with halifax. They have a new policy of not wanting existing customers to stay with them. the mortgage rates they offer existing customers are the same as the standard variable rate. I presume this is to cover them from having to give existing customers the deals regardless of affordability. compare this to other companies that offer the same deals to new and existing. not what you would expect from reputable name which halifax clearly isnt any more. bye bye. you wont see my money again. Easy to Set Up but not competitive

We have reached the end of our fixed deal with the Halifax and looked for another fixed deal product with the Halifax, however their rates are just not even close to other high street banks so although we love the service and the ease of setting up the mortgage, we will have to find another mortgage provider when our deal finishes. Mis-sold by the mortgage advisor

2
The Halifax mortgage advisor kept a crucial detail from us, when we found out about it, a couple of days after completion, we called to tell Halifax we would like to remortgage with another bank, however, we were told the cooling-off period starts from the offer acceptance and not from completion and if we go ahead we would have to pay the early exit fees. Don't Grow Old with Halifax

1
Been a loyal mortgagee of Halifax for more than 10 years. My deal is coming to an end, so contacted them for a NEW DEAL - THEY SAID NO. Their deals last 2 years 3 months - my O/S mortgage is 2 years 2 months. They didn't offer a new mortgage for a further month - JUST SAID NO! So loyalty counts for nothing with Halifax, nor does being old as they refused to extend my mortgage (I am coming 65). The person who I spoke with did make a further comment regarding my outstanding mortgage and I quote "WE WOULD PREFER IT IF YOU REPAID YOUR MORTGAGE NOW RATHER THAN WAIT 2 YEARS" - Nice to be appreciated by a friendly, caring bank - NOT So a word of warning to everybody out there, that's getting old - Don't grow old with Halifax Reviewed on: 4th December 2019

Worst bank for a mortgage

1
I dont usually write reviews but Halifax have really screwed us over. We were due to complete our house today and move in but last minute Halifax said they did not receive our solicitors letter. This was at 9am and followed by 4 hours of calls and 2 hours of being on hold only to find out that it was actually too late for them to send a confirmation email on a Friday. Now we have no home and nowhere to live until Tuesday. This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. Do not get your mortgage with Halifax, go anywhere else. The staff are really inefficient and really unhelpful and you will spend hours trying to get hold of someone on the phone only realise it was a total waste of time. Reviewed on: 27th September 2019

beware of binary option scam

5
Beware of Binary options scam I initially invested a total sum of $75,000 over a period of 18 weeks in Wisebanc. My bonus/profit was $150,000, every attempt to make withdrawal failed and I was instructed to make another deposit of $15,000 before I can make withdrawals which I did. Up till now I'm still unable to make withdrawals and all attempt to contact broker has failed. This is very pathetic and I advise everyone to be mindful of Brokers they trade with. I did a due diligence test before investing with them but guess what I ended up getting burned. This is to create awareness, not everybody can be as lucky as I was. I'm saying this because I was able to recover my funds through the help of INTERNATIONAL RECOVERY AGENCY(IRA) David markson .Thanks to David he’s a private investigator and wealth recovery expert...you can email him on [email protected] for more inquiries. He will guide you on steps to take and get back all you have lost. Am very happy to share this because i love seeing someone smiling again. Good Luck Reviewed on: 6th May 2019
