Making contact really diffult

1
Hinckley and Rugby have provided a great service in the past. During COVID-19 (and yes I know it's a huge challenge for everyone) it is impossible, And if they send you a secure link to Egress.......good luck! It really shouldn't be this difficult. Reviewed on: 19th June 2020

Communication could be better

The people who work here are amazing. Jessica Lloyd in particular. However trying to find someone to speak to at HRBS before Jessica was almost impossible for me or my broker and delayed a lot of the Conveyancing process, call backs not made etc. Aside from this, they were very friendly, I appreciate their offering of a mortgage. Our experience in the application process, and through to completion was a very good one! Even though the extreme circumstances of covid19 the team all worked well to help us compete. Thank you to all. David Dodd Reviewed on: 19th May 2020

Excellent service from start of process to completion Reviewed on: 21st April 2020

Top class product for retirees.

Short term interest only mortgage for retirees. Later life mortgage was perfect while we decided the right time to sell our holiday home. Not many options around at reasonable a rate. Excellent products Reviewed on: 31st March 2020

Poor experience overall

1
A number of issues throughout the process including changes being made to my mortgage offer without making me aware; reluctance to change the mortgage offer to reflect change of solicitor; nobody willing to give me any information for the first few weeks; and issues with release of funds the afternoon before completion. My most positive interaction has come since actually completing on the mortgage. Reviewed on: 25th March 2020

Mortgage application

From start to finish the process has been very pleasant and professional experience Reviewed on: 3rd March 2020

Snail pace incompetence.

Three months to get a mortgage completed. and not even the one we desired. They would only make the offer to one borrower solely when we wanted two borrowers. How is one person more financially sound than two people earning? You basically have to prove that you really don’t need a loan because you have so much money to cover any possible default. The solicitors they use are a joke. I new more about conveyancing than them from previous house purchases. They must be trainees reading from a script. If you asked a question, they had to call you back with the answer. Every call required a 2 minute series of ‘security’ questions before you could have a conversation. The best form we received to fill in was ‘did we have any connections to Persons of Political Influence’. Such a judgemental question and what on earth has it to do with a simple domestic mortgage?
