Great service, extremely helpful

I have been a customer of hsbc for many years. The Internet banking is easy and staff in store are always helpful. When I was a victim of fraud they were extremely proactive and alerted me to it. Reviewed on: 4th May 2017

Current account

I opened my current account back in 1998 when it was the former Midland bank. I have always received great customer service whenever I have had a problem (which is extremely rare). I have only encountered difficulties logging in online once back in January 2016 when the system was offline over a couple of days. However, technical difficulties do occasionally happen and less so with HSBC when compared to other banks such as Natwest. I am happy with how the bank values me as a costumer and intend on banking with them for the foreseeable future. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2017

Good bank

5
I've been with this bank for 15 Years and never had a problem with them Reviewed on: 27th April 2017

Easy to use

4
I can always rely on HSBC for a user friendly system (mobile and online banking). They don't really have the highest interest on savings... so I would recommend going for an ISA but I would definitely recommend them for opening a normal bank account! Reviewed on: 20th April 2017

Very pleased

5
Use HSBC for savings, current account and mortgage and have been very satisfied for past 7 years great customer service and preferential offers for existing customers. Good all round. Reviewed on: 14th April 2017

Sounds good but

Very good customer relations until you open the account then poor customer help lines and most wait weeks for a branch appointment. Reviewed on: 4th April 2017

HSBC v Bitcoin

1
HSBC seem to reflect the dismal way that banks have conned us for years. Charging £12.50 per month to deal with standing orders, charging for business accounts. So many ways to con over the years'. When probate is over I will leave this ghastly crew and begin a new life with Bitcoin and Spanish property. Good riddance. Reviewed on: 31st March 2017

A Bank for everyone

Very efficient and helpful in branch Reviewed on: 15th March 2017

Standard Bank Account, Poor Service

4
Been into branch and asked twice already to be moved onto a better account which I can actually get savings on to no avail. Also tried to order bank statements when moving house for mortgage which also never turned up after being told they couldn't print in branch. #MaxYourMoney Reviewed on: 2nd March 2017

Service is awful, now leaving after 6 years

HSBC has been my bank for 6 years and it used to be great. However, I'm just fed up that over the last few years the wait time to speak to customer service on the phone is an average of 20 minutes, and they send you from department to department. The online Live Chat functionality WAS great, until they started taking away the option to use it for important stuff like disputing fraudulent transactions. Customer service closing at 6pm Mon-Fri isn't good enough when I work full-time. Local branches have all closed so it's almost impossible to see an actual employee. I'm now leaving for Metro Bank, who I only hear and read good things about their service: Fast processes, branches open 7 days a week, 24/ hour UK based customer service, new cards printed on-site. This is the future. Goodbye HSBC. Reviewed on: 22nd February 2017
