Solid banking for over 25 years

I walked into 'Midland Bank' in the mid 80's as a teenager and signed up to a current account. I have banked with them, and subesquently HSBC, all of my adult life and I have found no reason to change - and, from someone who regularly compares and moves to the best deal, whether energy, telephone or broadband, this is a big deal. I am now signed up as an Advanced account holder and am happy with their service. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Good all rounder bank

Annoying rules.

Had some issues as I tried to change my address in store but was told I absolutely had to do it online, did it online and it only changed my address for certain correspondence and so my new debit card got sent to my old address because I got told the wrong info and wasn't just allowed to change my address in store which would have taken two minutes. First direct

Love first direct and been with them from nearly their start. Only gripe is that now semi retired don't have the high income to access some of their products which seems a bit mean for loyal customers Reviewed on: 12th February 2017
