Feeling Fees

Inept, rude unhelpful

I was asked to go through a customer info review. The most stressful thing I've done all year. Their information on the signatories hadn't been updated, despite submitting change of name forms, marriage certs and a death cert etc. Because their info was incorrect I could not talk to advisors as I could not provide up to date info. I was told wrong information by online chat advisors, told the account would be closed with little notice. The account had been a free of charge community account for 20 + years, then without warning it became a fee paying business account. Unable to talk to anybody again because they still don't hold the correct info. Branches didn't want to know. Absolute shambles. Now going through switching service to new bank which will ptibably fail because HSBC haven't updates. Rude and unhelpful on the very rare occasion that I have got through. Shocking. Lifelong Customer

I started banking with HSBC when they were Midland Bank and I opened my Griffin Saver account. I'm now 45 years old and have never had any issues with them. Easy online banking and great customer service. Reviewed on: 12th January 2022

Not customer friendly
