Excellent account, very good App and they seem to be...

Excellent account, very good App and they seem to be reactive to missing features that they then address and include, i.e. Saving Pots. Great Interest rates for positive balance in my current account, Excellent overdraft fees when compared to the aging 'mature banks' that effectively rip customers off.. PLEASE AVOID KROO BANK AT YOUR PERIL

Thought that Kroo with its solid interest rates was a great online option but after banking with them a very short time they blocked my account questioning a very small transaction made to my own credit card. I have responded to a variety of questions to show the validity of the card and the transaction but it continues to be blocked for over 3 weeks with zero communication from the bank. Today they messaged me to say they are closing my account completely with no explanation and I can no longer access my funds. Again zero customer service in dealing with this appropriately and I have never encountered anything so ridiculous in my 40 years banking in the UK. Back to HSBC I go! I have since read online lots of the same complaints about frozen and closed accounts for up to 3 month period so clearly big issues with their systems and staff which none of the big banks have. Excellent customer service and value.

Excellent customer service, often rapid replies to text queries over the app, and provides quick queues via phone. Plus, the transparency is top notch, as well as often giving amazing rates for interest without having to lock money into accounts where you can't access it later. Good checks and responsiveness

Kroo has a very easy to use app. Making payments is very simple. They pay interest on your balance. They plant two trees on your behalf when you open an account. They now offer a flexible cash ISA which is easy to use and integrated well. Reviewed on: 17th April 2025
