Helpful, fast, friendly and efficient

I've claimed for a new fork and more recently a whole new road bike frame. In both cases it was very easy to make the claim using the app, Laka replied quickly and were clear about the options, which I could act on within a couple of days. Contact with Laka has always been friendly and confirms the ethos that drew me to the company in the first place. Overall, the best experience I've had with insurers. Reviewed on: 1st August 2022

Incredible company

Laka make it so very easy to get cover, and every month so far have charged less than their monthly cap, even during peak cycling season – I’d expect the fees to be even lower during the winter. I’ve (thankfully) not had to claim, but their openness and transparency makes me confident that it’d be as painless as possible if I did. Reviewed on: 1st August 2022

Quick, effective and human

Laka have been absolutely amazing. I had my bike stolen from my home earlier this year, and while it took ages to sort stuff out with the police, I could submit a short video explaining what happened to Laka and got paid out the very next day (they even apologised it took them a bit long to get back to me). Getting paid out quickly is of course great, but I also appreciated that the responses I got from them came from actual people who were allowed to be human in their responses. Exactly What I Need

I recently moved to London and purchased a fancy gravel bike to use for both my commute and for weekend gravel adventures. We all know how riding in London can be with traffic and buses and inattentive drivers and other cyclists, and the high risk of bicycle theft, so I wanted insurance right away to cover both myself and my bicycle. I did some research and Laka was a name I saw pop up again and again. I did some further comparison research to other providers and was happier with Laka’s quotes, as well as the whole online experience with Laka’s website – I don’t know how they did it, but that website functions exactly as it should; exactly how I would want it to function. Their terms, conditions, and policies are clear, concise, and easily accessible. This made it very easy to actually see what I am paying for. In fact, transparency is what they excel at in regards to information, communication, and where my money is going. The icing on the cake? The coffee discount code. I buy coffee anyways, so to have that as a little bonus was unexpected and instantly used. Overall, Laka is exactly what I was looking for, and happy to find. Reviewed on: 1st August 2022
