Terrible experience

Terrible insurance. I opened a claim weeks ago, for damages. Every email interaction requires at least one week. So far, the faster response time was 4 working days. When you are trying to agree on the next steps to fix the damage on your bike, this could require multiple email interactions, making the process super long. They should be focusing less on marketing and more on actually doing the job Reviewed on: 14th August 2025

Laka understands cyclist's needs

I can’t recommend Laka enough. When my bike was damaged, their team made the whole process stress-free from start to finish. Communication was excellent — clear updates, quick responses, and a genuinely friendly approach that made me feel looked after. They arranged a replacement bike incredibly quickly, with no fuss or complicated forms, and kept me in the loop every step of the way. It’s rare to find an insurer that feels this personal and rider-focused. If you’re a cyclist looking for reliable cover and a team who really understands the cycling community, Laka is the way to go. Double claim - very well sorted!

I have unfortunately had to claim on my Laka insurance twice in 18 months and they have been very helpful, extremely quick to pay and not quibbled with my preferred methods for replacing my two bikes on each occasion. They were exemplary! Reviewed on: 9th August 2025

Great no nonsense self managed flexible insurance.

They are a great, no nonsense, easy to use and understand insurance provider, with an intuitive website to self-manage items to be insured, level of cover required etc, and it’s very flexible too. I wish all insurers were as good! Reviewed on: 5th August 2025
