Great model great customer service

I heard through a friend about Laka and was wondering how the different crowd based insurance would work. When getting my bling bike after waiting ages I went straight to Laka. Having a few quotes elsewhere they are definitely competitive no matter how much or little you cover. Insurance.... That I enjoyed signing up to?!?!

Having seen lots of people I follow on social media talk about laka and how different it was compared to stereotypical insurance.... curiousity killed the cat and i thought, how different could it be? Boy was i wrong! Lowest average price per month, community feel (for buying insurance - crazy!) and i didn’t feel like I was settling for the best of a bad bunch. The process was so easy to sign up to and I didn’t even realise I could also insure my accessories and even clothing! On top of this, a rolling contract that I can leave anytime if I find a cheaper provider (fat chance, but it’s nice to have the option), ability to change my policy and update it daily rather than monthly if I buy new gear. It honestly feels like they’ve thought of everything - you even get discount on popular cycling brands, the cherry on top of the cake! A slick website with online chat facilities that makes the process simple, smooth and easy to follow and I can far and away tell you that you will be impressed with Laka. Now, they say you only know how good your insurance is when you need to claim which fortunately I haven’t had to do yet but seeing all the reviews and the fact the total value you insure does not depreciate, I couldn’t be more sure that I’d be very satisfied with the outcome if I had to claim.
