Run for cyclists, by cyclists

Insurance companies usually feel like they’re run by accountants, seeking to minimise payouts and maximise profits. Laka is the polar opposite: it’s a group of cyclists trying to deal constructively with a problem we all face - people steal our stuff and sometimes we fall off. The transparency concerning how the money is spent, and how our premiums are calculated, is exemplary. I really hope they can maintain this ethos as they get bigger. Reviewed on: 3rd October 2022

amazing customer service

My Wahoo computer smashed and sad to say it was probably me fault. This happened on the Saturday and by the following Saturday my replacement was on it's way. LAKA keep me at ease that if I need them in the future I will have them on my side Reviewed on: 3rd October 2022

Friendly and approachable

Fortunately I've not had to use my insurance yet, however after sifting through the hellscape of insurers, finding such a highly rated and recommended one in Laka that lays everything out at face value with no nonsense has been absolute bliss. Reviewed on: 3rd October 2022

Easy and friendly bike insurance

Laka makes bike insurance less stressful because they have a wealth of cycling experience, which means they understand how insurance should work for cyclists. They also engage with the wider cycling community and other brands to remain relevant and agile amongst the antiquated and stuffy insurance companies you might be used to. The MUST-HAVE insurance for bike owners

Efficient, friendly and affordable. They processed my claim in 24 hours, with the money in my account I could go out and purchase a new bike to get me moving again. Great ethos, making insurance friendly and about the people using the product instead of the money makers in the big corporations. Reviewed on: 3rd October 2022
