Laka are a breath of fresh air - the policies are clear and jargon-free and the variable fee is smart. The team are friendly and approachable and are happy to help instead of trying to dodge a pay out. Reviewed on: 2nd October 2023

People-first bike insurance

Love the idea behind Laka, sharing risk rather than penalising individual users. Helps create the idea of a cycling community, which is a lovely feeling too. Haven't needed to claim yet, but feel confident that it would be an easy process. Reviewed on: 2nd October 2023

Super easy to set up.

Haven't had to claim yet, but setting up my insurance account and policy, as well as adding documents and photos, was super easy. I've been able to modify my cover as well, all with only a few clicks. I love that they're made for cyclists, as you get a sense they actually care about their customers. I've only contacted customer services once, but the reply was quick and informative. Reviewed on: 2nd October 2023

Cycle insurance by cyclists so you have peace of mind that if you need things put right, laka will get you sorted. You only pay what you need to - there are no big shareholders. It's more like being part of a friendly club. Reviewed on: 2nd October 2023

Simple, friendly, transparent

Laka has been a revelation. I've never before taken out an insurance policy where I feel part of a community of policyholders. The transparency about their charges and services is unparalleled and it all works really easily online (a huge contrast with other insurance experiences I've been having lately).
