Cheapest cycle insurance I could find for my hybrid...

Cheapest cycle insurance I could find for my hybrid bike, but it’s not as if they’ve skimped on the coverage or anything, and I like that it feels more like a community of cyclists. The price changes based on how much people have claimed that month, so some months will be cheaper and some more expensive. Reviewed on: 2nd September 2026

Excellent cover and value for money

Laka provides excellent cover at very reasonable prices. Extent of cover is clear., with the ability to tailor options to suit your circumstances. The calculation of monthly premia is very transparent and offers reassurance that it’s calculated to serve the biker’s interest. Not surprising, given that the operation is run by a collective rather than providing investor returns. Reviewed on: 2nd September 2026

Fast and no hassle

My bike was stolen from a communal store and I was braced for the usual insurance runaround. Instead it was assessed and approved in under a week. Fred in the fulfilment team has been especially good — laid out the options clearly, gave me a choice of retailers rather than pushing one, and was open to me sourcing a replacement myself. Made a stressful situation feel manageable. Straightforward process, zero excess, no surprises. Would recommend. Reviewed on: 2nd September 2026

Lake - the culture Kings and Queens of bike insurance

I had my double locked lovely LX bike stolen from Oxford station earlier in the summer. Laka's response and handling on reporting the loss and seeking a replacement has been faultless- sympathetic, trusting , helpful and efficient. A superb positive culture has been ingrained at Laka and it has been an unexpected pleasure to with them all there after such an upsetting theft. Special shout out for Dexter.
