Manchester Credit Union loans are available for up to £15,000. Members can clear the balance of a loan at any time and won’t be charged any early settlement fees.

Everyone should join a credit union. Manchester Credit Union is one of the best.

As credit unions are owned by the members for the benefit of the members, they are an ethical way of saving and accessing financial products. They are also very local as well so you get personal attention and better customer service. I have always had excellent service from the MCU and it has been very easy to democratically participate in the running of the organisation. I feel my membership really counts and I have a say in the running of the organisation. MCU also benefits wider society as well helping tackle loan sharks by being an effective and ethical way to borrow money. I am proud to be a member. Reviewed on: 28th June 2022

Fast financial help at hand!

After a unexpected family crisis I was left in abit of a mess financially with no family or friends to help me out I turned to Manchester Credit Union to apply for a loan as a last resort. Within 2hrs I had done the application, it was accepted & the money was transferred into my bank account!! They completely saved me & my children (more importantly) from going without until my next payday. I couldn't be more grateful to them. Reviewed on: 7th November 2025
