A Regular Savings Account is opened automatically when you join Manchester Credit Union. Savings must be made on a regular basis, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly and withdrawals can be made via the App or Members Area.

Savings Account for rainy days

I have beem with Manchester Credit Union for about 6 years. I save a small amount each month and it gives me a lot of peace of mind. I can see my savings grow online, I feel rest assured that if I need to use my savings I can withdraw them without any hassle and know that if I needed extra money I could apply for a credit union loan. Their website is simple to use and provides all the information I need. As an extra bonus every saver is provided with generous life insurance. The life insurance doubles your savings deposits in case of your death to help love ones pay for funeral expenses. Reviewed on: 18th May 2022

Saving for nearly 20 years.

I've been saving with the credit union for nearly 20 years and have found it to out perform my bank accounts. With the added benefit of life insurance it makes sense to save with the credit union. The manchester team have always been helpful and efficient when i have had a query. The app has been updated over the years and is very user friendly and contains all the information I need. My experience was surprisingly up-to-date.!!!

My experience was surprisingly up-to-date. For example I was able to become a member , apply for a loan and provide necessary documentation and fill in the agreement all online no having to visit the branch. Also an excellent app to keep track on my account and potentially apply for future loans ect ...I've had issues previously and I was able to contact a member of staff and get help there and then ! Very easy and current up-to-date service couldn't fault them. Also very inclusive everyone has an equal opportunity. Reviewed on: 25th June 2026

Ive been in credit union for 25 yrs its been a great way to save and plan for xmas special occasions especially when I didn't have much to go round just putting a bit aside made a massive difference. It's easy to use the app is very good and money can be put in and took out in minutes, id be lost without the credit union. Reviewed on: 25th June 2026
