Avoid Marshmallow Insurance

I had an absolutely dreadful experience with Marshmallow Insurance. After my car was damaged in an accident, I filed a claim expecting a straightforward process. Despite providing all the necessary documentation and evidence, my claim was denied without a valid reason. It felt like they were actively looking for any excuse to avoid paying out. To make matters worse, communication was a nightmare. I tried reaching out multiple times via phone and email, but my attempts were mostly ignored. When I finally got through to someone, they were unhelpful and dismissive. It was clear that resolving my issue was not a priority for them. One specific incident that stands out is when I was promised a call back from a claims manager within 48 hours. That call never came, and when I followed up, I was told that there was no record of my previous conversation. This level of incompetence and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Marshmallow Insurance seems to specialize in finding reasons to deny claims, even when they are clearly at fault. If you want to avoid losing your hard-earned money and dealing with a company that doesn't care about its customers, look elsewhere. Reviewed on: 18th February 2025

They accepted my no claims and then 1 month later they cancelled it and increased my insurance by £1100 a year. No difference for next year renewal and charged £100 for cancellation. Reviewed on: 17th February 2024

HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY THEY ARE FRAUDS! I had Insurance with this company and had the worst experience ever. My car was parked outside my house and another car crashed into it. When I sent it to there garage the mechanics did faulty jobs and damaged the car which was in unsafe condition to drive. Also, they took away my 3 years no claim bonus for no reason whatsoever. The incident was not my fault has nothing to do with me but they took my 3 years no claim bonus anyway. They charged me money to fix the car and did not fix it, on top of that they have the audacity to take 3 years off my no claim bonus. When I try to speak to them they do not have no customer service contact number. They only have web-chat talking which is the worst form of communication as they do not reply properly or even answer my questions and meet my needs. Reviewed on: 15th February 2024

I don’t have a policy with these criminals thank god but I have been trying for the last month to claim on a policy holder who smashed into the back of me, my insurance company have also tried I’m now in the process of going down the legal path with help from my insurance How the hell this company is allowed to trade is beyond me . My car was written off by a marshmallow customer who admitted liability, A settlement figure was agreed but payments to me continually fail. I believe this can only be happening if they are insolvent or an employee is stealing my money. They are virtually impossible to contact and couldn’t care less about their liabilities. Refuses to cancel and refund my policy, can't reach

Someone made a false claim about my car being in an accident. I submitted photos and videos of my car, in perfect condition, but now they are refusing to cancel and refund my car insurance even though I sold it due to this false claim. It is impossible to get ahold of a human and they don't have a contact phone number available. You have to use their "live" chat box, but I've been put on "hold" for over 3 hours now, being completely ignored. A poorly run company clearly scamming people who chose their plan for their cheap rate. Never using them again. Reviewed on: 7th February 2024

Avoid at all costs! Long story but they are trying to scam me out of more money by charging me extra on my premium mid contract and I have had to reported them to the Financial Ombudsman's. The good reviews you see must be AI bots, the customer service is like speaking to a brick wall all on online chat. They accused me of miss information and I have proof that I had given it to them so they don't have a leg to stand on. I paid a lot of money for a dreadful service, they interrogate you and try to catch you out rather than help you. Reviewed on: 6th February 2024
