Auto renewing and refunding partially after a long time

They auto renewed my insurance and would not provide me a contact number to call and cancel. They didnt send me any postal correspondance to inform me. They took out over 1000£ as premium from my bank account. Only chat facility available to corresspond which is slow. I cancelled the insurance over chat immediately (within cooling off period) but they still charged me £30 admin fee. They also gave me a huge bill for 2 days' insurance they charged pro-rata. Raised a complaint and they took months to respond. They didnt do anything. They took a long time refunding the money as well and still charged Admin fee (even though I was withing 7 day cooling off period). Thieves. Stay away from them Reviewed on: 14th August 2024

Zero stars if I could

If people are smart, they won’t insure with this company. £950 excess!!!! Increasing a premium from £4K to £5k after submitting an accepted proof of no claims? Outrageous. Gone with another company. Good luck if you choose to go with this company. I’ve called the FCA and hope this company is fined, shut down or sanctioned in some way. Reviewed on: 10th June 2023

The Rip off

My car was hit by a lime bike damaging the bumper wing and mirror. I put a claim in for the repairs and within two days the insurance was cancelled by Marshmallow. Wish I had read the reviews first .The company actively scams people, what I did not understand is with 68% of reviews that state how bad they are , why are they allowed to trade or advertise as an insurance company. I intend to highlight this scam to the papers and TV , rip off Britain . I will also post the reviews on social media and anywhere else I can to highlight the scams they perpetrate . Such business

It's that time of year once again. The insurance renewal quote slinks into my email inbox. It doesn't knock, it isn't invited. The dread fills my stomach once again. The search is nearly on... But what's this I see befoe me? Marshmallow?! It cannot be. Surely car insurance can't be this fun and fulfilling. Alas it can. Please, do yourself a favour. Use. This. Company. Do not trust

Online and only want your money! No customer service or helping people in need. Always excuse to not help! Best word to describe marshmallow is they are robbers with an identity without having to wear a mask and get away with it! Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

Poor service

No phone number to call. Online chat takes hours to respond. Verification of photo ID with your selfie. In case if you don’t upload the iD in short time, but they won’t tell you how much time you have. They will cancel your policy. Without sending you email or text or call. So if you are waiting for driving license because of any reason don’t bothered. My iD came days before the policy start and I was simply unable to upload them. They don’t care if you will stay. terrible value, hard to cancel.

Title says it all. The only way to cancel the policy is to sit in an online chat where even the bot is late to the conversation. Awful value as well, policy cost went up by 40% (didn't make a claim). Avoid at all costs. Reviewed on: 29th May 2023

Makes an insurance agreement and then raises the price the price

ABSOLUTE SCAM COMPANY; Insurance policy started 1st of May. Then 11th asked the required document (occupation proof for additional driver) On 23rd replied that they can`t cover the additional driver(no reason provided) and without it- the price will raise 3x times. Or I can cancel the policy which will cost me £75 cancellation fee. ABSOLUTE SCAM Reviewed on: 23rd May 2023

Toxic company
