never use they worse experience ever

Had to make a claim and the only way to communicate with them is over a chat which is fine if they respond. Between each sentence you may have to wait for an hour. Adding to this the representatives has no clue what they are talking about. Not only that. A settlement has been agreed and when i was chasing them for payment they did not know what is going on. So i explain all over again and nothing happens. 6 weeks into the claim and i have nothing, no information no updates and now they even stopped responding on the chat. Not sure where to turn next. I have never had such poor customer experience with any organisation i have dealt with in my life. I am 54 so that tells a lot. Reviewed on: 1st September 2022

Marshmallow Took my money then cancelled a couple days later

My dad went with these at it was the cheapest for me to go on as a named driver as I have just passed my test…. They took £125 on Friday the 26th august and on Wednesday they cancelled sayin they have reasonable grounds that we misrepresented the owner so that myself could get an insurance policy… my dad is the owner of the car the log book is on his name he is the main driver.. they r scammers they said they have cancelled and there is a £75 cancellation fee but that’s a load of crap as u look on ur policy documents a and if I it’s cancelled with in 14 days there is only a £25 fee so where r they gettin 75 from… also look them up they are an insurance company for foreigners that just moved to the uk.. PLEASE EVERYONE DONT ISE THEM THEY WILL TAKE UR MONEY AND CANCEL IN A COUPLE OF DAYS Reviewed on: 31st August 2022

Terrible company to deal with

Cancelled my policy due to alleged fronting I’m 74 my named driver is 44! They have no proof other than an accusation. Fine but at least refund me! They won’t tell me how much they charging me for 7 days insurance and the want to bill me £75! For an accusation with no proof! TERRIBLE COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Reviewed on: 30th August 2022

Best easy friendly

It came the cheapest for me on Confused.com. When setting up the insurance on line through marshmallow website, its quick easy and technological. All terms are quick and easy to understand, the way its all written and laid out. They are easily contactable online and super friendly. Reviewed on: 26th August 2022

Don't accept third party repairs from this company

I was hit by their insured while filling up my van with diesel . They promised a replacement van ,repairs at my choose of garage and £100 voucher . Four weeks later nothing and they are refusing to fix the engine light that came on and windscreen damage. Don't talk to them just set you own insurance on them . Reviewed on: 20th August 2022

Horrendous

My garden wall was demolished by a car insured with Marshmallow. We attempted to make a claim, but were unable to contact the claims department. Eventually the driver managed to contact them, but was told to ring back next week as they were now closed till Tuesday. It took Marshmallow several weeks to contact us and ask for photographs of damage which we sent. We then had to wait over two weeks for a reply when they then asked us to provide two quotes. After quotes were sent it took the Claims department nearly a month to get back to us and only then because I asked them to confirm that they had received the quotes. They are now telling us that they would expect us to claim through our Household insurance or pay for the work ourselves and then send them an invoice which they will then send to their partner company S&G who will then review the credibility of the invoice and look to reimburse. All this having to be done by email, never a person to speak to. Reviewed on: 12th August 2022

Avoid like trash

I have been spammed with messages and emails after finishing my contract, nothing seems to work to stop it. The worst company, customer service hopeless. Reviewed on: 29th July 2022

They stole my money

I applied for car insurance and it said all would go ahead in the next few days. They took my money and the next day they decided to decline my policy. They refuned me a 1/4 of the ammont I paid due to "me cancelling" which i didnt they stop it before it began. Customer service was awful, no one to call as a purely online based. 100% avoid this disgusting insurance company or should say scammers. Reviewed on: 25th July 2022
