Best bank ever

The best account for a user friendly experience

Metro Bank’s current account is my preferred because it’s easy to navigate, and I really like the handy spending chart I get at the end of the month. I went abroad recently and benefitted from their excellent exchange rates, and at the end of the stay my account had helpfully put together a summary of my holiday spend - without me even needing to tell them I was going away! 10/10 all round. Fantastic customer service with brilliant opening hours

I have accounts with Nationwide and Barclays as well as Metro. I find that Metro are friendlier, easier to get in touch with and their opening hours are far superior to Nationwide and Barclays who seem to think we’re still in the dark ages. If I have any issue with Metro, I know I can pop down there after work or after lunchtime on Saturday, and even Sunday - they greet you like friends and bend over backwards to resolve any issues right there and then - even print you a new card. Also, their free pens are great and someone invariably steels it from you if they see it’s a metro pen. I am going to consolidate all my accounts and move all my banking to Metro. Best service all round

They are open at time that mean if you're in work past 5pm and need to speak to somebody you still can. Reliable, friendly service in a nice clean setting (unlike some banks). Would always recommend Metro Bank. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2023
