easy straight forward banking

Wanted a straight forward joint bank account with my husband. Metro ticks all the boxes - easy to open, easy to run and friendly, numerous, spacious branches. Great phone app too! Have recommended and now my son has also opened a Metro bank account. Service over the past year during pandemic has been excellent - unlike HSBC who have been terrible. Am now thinking of moving my business banking account to Metro from aforementioned bank. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2021

Brilliant bank and service

I have been with metro for several years now and chose them because after lots of research I found them to be the most ethical high-street bank. I love that there are no charges (hopefully Brexit won't change that) when using my card abroad - in Europe at least. Their customer service has always been outstanding, both face-to face and over the phone. At first I found the service a little 'intense' and overly friendly, but I prefer that to a grumpy employee who makes you feel like you are bothering them by using their services, which, sadly, I have experienced a lot in other banks, but never in Metro. Plus - they have a toilet!!! Their online banking platform is super easy to use and I have been able to set up another online account very easily and quickly. The added security (phone) measures that I have recently started using are an excellent addition too. Overall, I have never been so happy with a bank and haven't a single complaint. Metrobank is a wonderful bank it is opened throughout the year , we are most banks aren’t. Whenever I have had a problem online or in person they have been very proactive very friendly and that’s what I think they have an excellent customer service they are always friendly and willing to Help Reviewed on: 23rd March 2021
