When my debit card was cloned, Mettle sorted it incredibly quickly and had a new one with me in no time. I was worried that having to handle everything by email (with no phone option) would drag things out, but I was genuinely impressed by how smooth and efficient the whole process was. The app is so simple to use.

The app is so simple to use. The only issue I have come across is it not transferring the categories that you set for purchases over to the FreeAgent side of things. Other than that, I love it. Uploading photos for receipts is a joy and I’ve only recently started invoicing through the app and only wished I found it sooner Reviewed on: 19th March 2026

Good for a Sole Trader or a Director but not for two

A great product if you are a single person running a company or sole trader, but if you are one of two company directors, Mettle does not have a joint account facility and can only be managed by one person Reviewed on: 19th March 2026

I love using mettle for my business as it automatically saves 20% of my income ready for my tax bill and having the ability to invoice directly through the application is ideal for my busy work life!
