The app works very well and it is very intuitive.

The app works very well and it is very intuitive. There is no cost associated with opening and keeping the bank account with them. Via the app you can easily control the spending and manage the incoming and outgoing payment, categorise them and stay on top of everything. Furthermore they offer you as standard, the use of freeAgent. In essence, Mettle is free and it helps you to save money at the end of the year as you do not need an accountant! It is a great bank, a great bank and I am loving it. Have I also mentioned that through the app you can create personalised invoices and send them directly? Everything you need is there! Bookkeeper recommended!

I am a bookkeeper and use mettle for my own business and love it. I have also recommended it to many clients who have also given great feedback. I love that I can set a percentage of income to go straight into my pots and also that you can get FreeAgent for free along with the mettle account which is also free. Big fan here! Fantastic business banking. Free access to FreeAgent software which is so useful for HMRC reporting (works with the new making tax digital scheme). Customer service is great & has the option to put money into pots for savings goals. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026
