Not helping small businesses manage cashflow

Mettle Business Bank is good for small business owners, but the important feature that you would expect from any modern online bank are just not available yet including notifications on direct debits (i.e. the day before). There isn't a calendar of when your direct debits are due - only the date the direct debit payment was set up. For a small business owner, where cashflow is essential, this is a really important part of managing finances. Mettle customer service have said this may be coming in the future, but this feature is not available yet. Reviewed on: 5th February 2026

I have used Mettle for over 2 years now. The app is easy to navigate and integrates well with FreeAgent which helps in staying on top of business finances. It is easy to categorise transactions and schedule payments. Reviewed on: 5th February 2026
