Everything about Mettle is great, it just works and gets the job done. The app is very well thought out, intuitive and easy and simple to use. Transferring money, paying bills and keeping track of income are all really smooth tasks. The link to FreeAgent makes managing money and keeping accounts in order a simple task. I have used mettle since being self employed and it’s the best banking app I’ve used. I have multiple pots I can put money into and I can also set it so a percentage of my choosing is set aside for things like tax etc. I would definitely recommend to anyone self employed Reviewed on: 29th January 2026

I have been with mettle for 3 years now and it’s a very simple and easy bank to work with. Having the intervention with free agent is a great as it makes submitting vat and self assessment super easy. Customer service is proactive and respond very quickly to any queries.
