Excellent bank with free accounting software

I have been using mettle for 2 years and it's been a great experience. It's easy to transfer funds to pots for savings and tax. It's easy to make payments and transfer funds between accounts. I love the fact you get the use of FreeAgent for free with every account. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Great for Sole Traders

I use the Mettle app on the go to create, send, store and track invoices. I've been told they look professional. I also appreciate that the app links to my Gmail to create automated messages to send out invoices or notify of late payments. Payments are instant and customer service has been excellent at helping me troubleshoot issues. I do wish the invoice had a section for adding elements like purchase order numbers. I also would like the opportunity to tick no receipt for some payments. Lastly, I love the link to Free agent for book keeping. It's made the self assessment process so much easier because of this. As a business owner I value my time more than anything, and with Mettle I get to bank quickly & easily. From categorising everything to invoicing as well as connecting to Freeagent for tax and cash flow management. It's just brilliant! Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Mettle has features I love and use daily, I've never had an issue or downtime and the partnership with free agent is game changing. I'm not sure about the recent subscription model for extra features they introduced, I don't need them but I'd be worried if they added more. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Overall very good app that has a great user interface and intuitive system with ease of navigation at its core. The bank is clearly aimed at all small to medium sized Ltd companies but I’d stay around even if I got very big. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

The app is so simple to use and there are other free services such as invoicing and Free Agent which means I am able to run my business in a simple, hassle free way. I would highly recommend Mettle to anyone starting a business or indeed wanting a fuss free, clear service. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025
